WHAT TO BRING?
1. An open mind
"I am the wisest man alive, for I know one thing, and that is that I know nothing." - Socrates.
You don't know what you don't know. Expect to learn and grow upon something new in every class.
2. A high willingness to learn and grow
Everyone is at a difference place in their lives and that's good. Given the intention and values of this community, you will get out of your experience what you are willing to put into it. Always bring a beginners mind.
3. Your best self, whatever that is right now
You're not expected to be perfect because perfection in that way doesn't exist. However, you are encouraged to show up as your most honest, authentic self, regardless of how "broken" or "successful" you are. Does that take courage? Of course it does. It's also where we make the most meaningful connections with ourselves, other people and what we want most in life.
4. Respect for yourself and others
The foundation of all personal growth is about honouring where you (and others) are at and the truth of what you're aiming to create in life. This is a safe, non-judgmental space for positive transformation. Be respectful of everyone's journey and process, including your own.
5. A pen and notebook
You may not need these but it's important to have for each night you attend, for there will be written exercises in some classes. Cell phones will be asked to be turned off or put on airplane mode.
