I’ve never told this to anyone before but...
​
The truth is that I’ve wanted to become a wedding officiant for over 15 years, ever since I first performed the role of Master of Ceremonies at my Uncles wedding in 2006.
​
I was a nervous 17 year old boy. Forehead dripping with perspiration, the microphone just barely being clasped by my clammy hands, I remember standing to the far right of the room scrambling in my mind about what I was supposed to be doing next, moments before the words “I do” were uttered.

But then the ceremony started and I was saved.

The energy of the room shifted completely when the deep warm smile of the man standing between my uncle and his bride enveloped my attention. Looking into his honest, sincere eyes made me remember one important fact:
