I Woke Up Feeling Out of Alignment With My Mission & Here's What I Did.

Updated: Dec 6, 2019

Sometimes it’s easy to lose sight of why we are doing what we are doing in the world.

This morning was one of those days for me.

So I opened up a document and allowed my heart to flow onto the page.

I recommend you do the same with your mission and goals especially at times you’re feeling out of alignment with them.

Here’s an example of what I wrote:

Why am I doing this? What is the real reason I'm doing Life Coaching?

I simply questioned myself at a deep level why I'm doing what I'm doing. But I didn't just ask my mind. I asked my heart. I made it my intention to get really vulnerable and connect with the truth of my soul.

I’m doing coaching because I want to make the world a better place to live for myself and everyone else on this planet.

I want to see people genuinely happy.

I want to help people remember that all their limitations are ultimately self-imposed by their habitual negative thought patterns and that they can change them any time they want with the right skills and techniques.

...

Why do I want that though?

I asked this question to consciously bring myself even closer to the vibration of my hearts truth. You'll find the deeper you go and the closer to your truth you get, the more aligned you'll feel in life.

...Because I deeply care about the freedom of humanity. I deeply care about humans getting what is rightfully theirs in the world. I care about humans creating a world where we can all live in abundance, peace and conscious creativity.

I want to live in a world where artistic expression of every kind is of highest value instead of people having to give their precious time and energy to a financial system that steals from them every day.

I want to live in a world where people are being governed by systems aligned with truth, self-empowerment and love, rather than lies, deceit and fear.

I simply want to inspire people to be the versions of themselves they are truly meant to be in for the sake of their own genuine expression of everything that is meaningful to them, regardless of what that looks like.

I want to remind people that the act of judgement upon one another is what is holding us back the most as a society. I want to practice kindness and acceptance in my life and inspire others to do the same because kindness is the language of the human soul.

But more than anything, I just want to be happy for myself because at the end of the day I can’t control how anyone is going to be in the world, nor do I want to.

So if I can’t control anyone, why am I coaching?

Because it brings me the most joy in life...and hopefully along the way I’ll have a very positive influence to those who want to listen.

...

After I wrote that you can bet I felt realigned with myself and my sense of truth. A feeling of confidence, self empowerment and enthusiasm once again raced through my veins.

So my friend, I ask you the same question.

What is your mission in this lifetime? Why are you here?

Pull out a piece of paper or word document and make it your intention to connect with the depths of your soul. It is possible to do this without writing it down but the practice isn't as powerful.

Why do you want what you want?

Go deep. All of our answers reside within.
